Classic Air Install 2

This is the actual install of the AC. At the end of the install, I will list the problems that I found with this system.

A is the main mounting point. D is where a screw goes in as secondary mount. There is a sheet metal bracket that mounts on the top and bolts to dash brace bolt. G and F are the AC lines. You have to cut a good size hole in the firewall for these. B and C are the heater lines. E is the drain line. No dimensions were given in the instructions as to where to cut hole. You will have this thing in and out several times to get all right. You will have to remove the sweep assembly to remove the AC plastic duct. It's replaced with a hose. You have to loosen the bolts on the dash braces and pull the dash out an 1 1/2" to get the heater assembly in place. Do more of them than they say to in the instructions or you will crack the plastic dash mounts. I made the aluminum plate. Now I have to drill the holes in it. Each letter is a hole of various sizes. The cheap looking plastic plate that they send did not cover enough. There is a plastic plate that covers the fan motor hole also. It worked all right and you can't see it, so I used it. Make sure you check the connection for the drain line. Mine was not sealed but 1/2 way. I used some JB Weld on it. This part is inside the car so it should not be able to leak at all. I'll put more pics here when I get them.

This is the hole that has to be cut for the line connections F & G. You have to connect the lines after the unit is mounted to the firewall.
